Battlefield 3

So its that time of the year when all the shooters grace our consoles and compete for that all important number 1 spot.First up we see battlefield 3 released upon the world to try and take some of the attention from call of duty but the big question is can it do it.

With amazing hd graphics never seen before on consoles and the new Frostbite 2 engine it has a lot going for it so lets explore this mammoth of a title.

First is the hd graphics and wow how good they are everything looks and feels real its like being in a war sometimes its hard to imagine its a game at all but having to install the hd graphics to your hard drive can be tedious and take up much needed dlc or arcade game space and been a 2 disc game at nearly 15gb to install to your xbox 360 hard disk drive this is one huge game in terms of space needed.

But that aside and this is such a fun and enjoyable game story mode on hard is rather easy to complete aside from the odd point you get pinned down like the canal section on operation guillotine i was raging so much i nearly started world war 3.

multiplayer is the same old battlefield system we all know and love but this time it feels more faster paced and alot more exciting than ever but the lack of team work and the fact you spawn at times directly in front of the enemy's gun cause problems.

All in all a good game and a big improvement over battlefield bad company 2 but not a game which will challenge the top shooters for long lets hope future dlc improves things.
