WOW just wow the game we have all been waiting for is finally about to enter into open beta status on the 29th of September 2011 (available via Xbox live marketplace and PSN)
The new menu system is really clean and well presented on the Xbox 360 version nice background
images from the games retail case are used to add to the amazing layout the menu navigation and options are plenty and very easy to use.
In the options you can fully customize all settings right down to how your plane rotates it is very in depth and will allow all users to be able to use all vehicles in the game.
Loading is greatly improved and doesn’t take too long considering the fact that maps are at least 20% bigger than previous titles.
The welcome screen has been given a complete makeover with you now been able to review player status and kits in specific classes without the other classes information been in the way making it much easier to see what you need to do to up grade the next item on your list.
On entering into the game though its not all roses as we were expecting the graphics wow so bad compared to what we were shown in tech demos it is easy to see that pc users will be treated to the truly next gen visuals this game offers.
The Graphics at times remind me of the ps2 days with blurred objects with no detail and all the edges of things been in very broken lines not the smooth edging we was expecting.
But a game shouldn’t be measured on graphics it’s the game that matters and wow what a game this is it really has you feeling like your life is in danger at ever moment. I nearly fill my pants with the smelly stuff the first time I was lining a shot up and got stab from behind even the death scene was very graphic with my character holding out his hand as the last drop of blood ran from his veins.
The odd weapon power is still apparent in this early release but I hope that will change as I will not be happy if I am killed from sniper distance with a pistol again or that fool soaks up 5 hit markers in the face with my assault rifle just to run at me and knife me. It will spoil the game but its early days and there is a lot of promise from this game looking forward to release date which is 28th October 2011.
